I am an American Staffordshire/Boxer mix named Otto. My story has a beginning to a happy ending, but started much sadder. My mom, an American Staffordshire Terrier, was 10 months old when she had me. She also had a prolapsed uterus. The police and local Humane Society convinced our owners to surrender us all. My mom’s life was saved and we were raised in a foster home. Mom didn’t nurse us, we were bottle fed, but she was with us for 6-8 weeks until she was adopted.
At 10 weeks old my siblings and I were taken to a Veterinarian’s office and two people came to look at us. After playing with all of us and rolling us onto our backs they finally decided I was their top choice. I’ve heard that my other siblings have all been adopted too and one of my sisters is in the same town as me. If we ever get to play together I’m going to tell her all about my adventures at the Dog Park and trails.
